Polyaxon for Research & Education

Polyaxon is an AI infrastructure company building an open-source AI engineering control plane for training, agents, observability, and infrastructure. Academic users get free access to the Polyaxon Platform plan for academic use—from coursework and research experiments to reproducible AI workloads.

Academic offer

TL;DR: The Polyaxon Platform plan is free for academic use. You get the Platform plan's core features and capacity limits without a platform subscription fee.

The Platform plan includes experimentation, automation, scheduling, optimization, workspace productivity, collaboration, security, and the full Polyaxon UI. See the pricing page for the current plan details and limits.

Who it's for

Students, teachers, researchers, and academic institutions using Polyaxon for academic work.

What you can build

  • Train, fine-tune, and evaluate models on Kubernetes.
  • Run agent workloads, notebooks, services, batch jobs, and pipelines.
  • Track experiments and datasets, manage artifacts, and compare results.
  • Add observability and reproducibility to AI systems and research workflows.

Why Polyaxon for AI research?

  • AI infrastructure in one control plane – manage training, agents, workloads, observability, and model workflows from one platform.
  • Open source – inspect, extend, and reproduce work with Polyaxon's open-source core.
  • Kubernetes-native – run workloads on your own clusters while keeping the control plane and workflows consistent.
  • Flexible deployment – use Polyaxon Cloud or self-host the open-source edition.
  • Built for reproducibility – version experiments, components, models, artifacts, and the environments that produced them.

How to get academic access

  1. Review the Platform plan and start a Polyaxon Cloud trial.
  2. Apply for academic access with your academic affiliation and intended use.
  3. If you run a large academic lab or need more capacity than the Platform plan provides, email [email protected] to discuss discounted pricing for your deployment.

Academic access is intended for academic use. Commercial workloads and startups should see the Startups Program or contact us about the right plan.
